Terms of use

*Draft for legal review. Last updated 4 October 2026.*

These terms cover your use of RigBuild ("we", "us"), a free service.

The service

RigBuild checks PC parts lists against published specifications using fixed rules. Its results are information, not advice. They depend on the specifications available, which manufacturers can change, and on specs supplied by your assistant, which RigBuild cannot verify. Always confirm compatibility with the manufacturer before you buy or assemble anything.

Safety

Switch off at the wall and unplug before working inside a PC. Never open a power supply. Overclocking or modifying parts can damage them and can void their warranties. You are responsible for how you build and use your PC.

Acceptable use

Don't use RigBuild to overload or disrupt the service, get round its rate limits, copy its rules or catalogue in bulk, or for anything unlawful. Access may be limited or withdrawn to protect the service.

No warranty

RigBuild is provided free, "as is" and "as available", without any warranty that it is accurate, complete or always available.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, RigBuild, including damage to parts, incompatible purchases or lost money. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow to be limited.

Intellectual property

RigBuild's software, rules and catalogue are © 2026 RigBuild, all rights reserved. Product names belong to their owners and are used only to identify parts. Specifications are shown with the source they came from.

Changes and law

We may change these terms or the service at any time; the date above shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
